Gary Raymond Freeman was born in Mount Vernon on Feb. 19, 1943 to Ray and Vera Freeman. His family lived in Wickersham at the time before they eventually settled in Woodinville.

Gary attended Carnation, Skykomish and Woodinville grade schools and then graduated from Bothell High School in 1961.

In the summers he would work for Norm’s Resort. He drove the oil truck for Gene Mack, who owned Mack’s Corner Store, and also drove buses for the Northshore School District. He then worked for King County until retiring at 48.

In April of 1969 he married Suzi Hansen of Bothell. They spent their first year as a married couple in Kirkland and then moved to Woodinville in 1970, where they lived until his passing.

Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Suzi, and their children Michael Freeman (Christine) and Stephanie Pederslie (Chad). He is also survived by his three grandchildren, McKenna Freeman, Shelby Pederslie, and Conner Freeman. Gary is also survived by a son from a previous relationship, Todd Hennessey.
