Linda Carol Rothrock December 9, 1945 — January 15, 2024
With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my mother, Linda Carol Roth- rock on January 15, 2024. Linda was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She spent her working years in the medical and insurance industries and enjoyed event coordination and hospitality work. She raised me as a single parent. Linda’s hobbies included photography and genealogy. She spent many years re-searching the Forbes family of Juanita Beach, from which we are descended. Her research has been donated to the Kirkland Historical Society. Her favorite things were music, sports, the seaside and a good book. Linda retired in 2015 and lived in a independent living community for seniors among friends and a garden of flowers. Linda passed away after a prolonged fight against bone cancer. Throughout her illness she received excellent care from Evergreen- Health doctors, nurses and hospice care. In her last days she spent time with me, family and friends. Her passing was peaceful and pain free. Everyone who knew and loved Linda will remember her in their hearts and cherish the memories they have with her. She was a strong, kind, generous and positive part of our lives. We will miss her greatly. One of Linda’s dreams was to publish a fiction novel, which she did in 2021. ‘Strangers to a Legacy’ is a story that combines Linda’s love of history, ancestry and seaside locations. Anyone wishing to remember Linda can make a donation in her name to EvergreenHealth Foundation or purchase her book titled ‘Strangers to a Legacy’ on Amazon. Proceeds from Linda’s book go to supporting King County Library’s programs for seniors.
